For those who want to run dive from Windows as a container, a simple function in the user's PowerShell profile will do the trick.

run "notepad $profile" and add:
function dive([string]$image) {
docker run -ti --rm -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock docker.io/wagoodman/dive $image
}
