Absolute Johannes factotum
- SCP-1928-KO (?)
- SCP-1928-KO is a strange phenomenon where the original, black-and-white Mickey Mouse from the 1928 "Steamboat Willie" cartoon inexplicably appears in various historical records like photos, drawings, and literature, even those with significant cultural or religious importance. People who see these altered records don't find it unusual and can even believe Mickey Mouse existed during those historical periods, though it doesn't actually change reality. This phenomenon started after a filmmaker tried to use Mickey Mouse without Disney's permission, and it seemed to escalate as the Walt Disney Company repeatedly lobbied to extend copyright laws to keep Mickey Mouse from entering the public domain. However, after Mickey Mouse eventually entered the public domain, the phenomenon stopped, and the independent film that sparked the incidents was finally screened, though it had very low viewership. The SCP is considered safe and has not been observed since December 1976.
- State of Scott (?)
- The "State of Scott" refers to a symbolic secession by Scott County, Tennessee, from the state of Tennessee in 1861. This occurred after Tennessee voted to join the Confederacy at the start of the American Civil War. Scott County, a Unionist stronghold in East Tennessee with very few enslaved people, overwhelmingly voted against secession from the United States. Although its declaration of independence was never officially recognized, the county maintained strong Union loyalties throughout the war and did not formally rescind its act of secession until 1986, petitioning for ceremonial readmission to Tennessee.
