Open

Description

@ffumero2003

Description

The "Installing a development version" section tells readers to check out the repository and run pip install b2sdk. That command resolves the published package from PyPI instead of installing the current local checkout.

Steps to reproduce

git clone https://github.com/Backblaze/b2-sdk-python.git
cd b2-sdk-python
pip install b2sdk

Expected behavior

The development-install instructions should use a local command such as pip install ., an editable install, or the repository's supported uv workflow.

Actual behavior

The documented command may install the published release and ignore local source changes.

Environment

  • Python version: Any supported version
  • b2sdk version: master at f3ab7b71
  • OS: Any
