Even though I just updated the module and restarted my phone, when I visit a website that checks your browser version, it says I am using an old version of the default webview, not the latest Bromite. Is this expected?

@yephny what website? And iirc bromite fudges the user agent.
yephny commentedon Sep 20, 2022
This, for example. Visit it in Webview. It shows the default webview installed on my phone.

Do you think something went wrong in the installation?
androidacy-user commentedon Nov 3, 2022
Sorry for the delayed response, but what shows in developer options?
yephny commentedon Nov 3, 2022
@androidacy-user The old/default one, with no other options.
androidacy-user commentedon Nov 7, 2022
What ROM and version?
yephny commentedon Nov 8, 2022
It's a fork of LineageOS 17.1.
yephny commentedon Feb 24, 2023
It says Bromite is not the system's currently selected WebView provider in "WebView DevTools".
androidacy-user commentedon Sep 18, 2023
Don't rely on that. Are you on Android 12 or newer?
yephny commentedon Sep 18, 2023
It's Android 10.
