I’m relatively new to GitHub and have been trying to understand the best way to use it beyond simply browsing repositories.
There are a lot of features to learn, including repositories, branches, commits, issues, pull requests, and discussions. It can feel like a lot when you’re just getting started.
I work in medical billing and I’m interested in learning GitHub for organizing and exploring projects related to automation and everyday workflows.
For people who have been using GitHub for a while, what would you recommend a beginner learn first?
Are there any simple projects or GitHub features that helped you understand the platform more easily?
